π¨ Artists & Food Lovers Welcome!
Besides our regular garden work, we're looking for creative people who would like to leave a lasting mark on Gaia's Farm.
π¨ Artists: Paint murals, signs or other artwork. Our dream is a farm covered in beautiful art created by volunteers from around the world.
π©βπ³ Chefs & Preservers: If you love cooking with fresh ingredients, baking, fermenting, canning or preserving food, we'd love your help preparing lunches for our team using produce from the farm. Longer stays are possible.
Please ignore the WWOOF calendar when sending your request. It does NOT reflect our actual availability.

π± Welcome to Gaia's Farm!
We are an organic family farm in the beautiful Swiss countryside, farming according to regenerative and permaculture principles.
Our passion is growing healthy food while improving the land for future generations. Every season we plant more trees, build wildlife habitats, improve our soils and create a farm full of life.
The heart of our farm is our productive organic vegetable garden, where around 50 local families harvest fresh vegetables, herbs and berries throughout the season. If you enjoy gardening, you'll absolutely love working here.
We also grow arable crops, maintain orchards and develop agroforestry systems that combine food production with biodiversity.
Although we have a small herd of cattle, most WWOOFers spend the majority of their time in the vegetable garden rather than working with animals.
To complete the family we have two wonderful, incredibly friendly dogs who love meeting new people and are always happy to show you the short and long walks around the farm.

π¨βπ©βπ¦ Who we are
We're Dave and Tillie and our two boys, Mag ('19) and Urs ('16).
Dave is a mechanic and farmer.
Tillie studied Agricultural Sciences and previously taught agriculture at a vocational school before becoming a full-time farmer.
We enjoy sharing meals, stories and ideas with people from all over the world.

π Accommodation
You'll stay either in our comfortable RV or in a cozy rustic cabin.
The RV has electricity and is close to the shower and toilet facilities.
Occasionally the RV is shared with another volunteer of the same gender, depending on how many people are staying.
We do our best to make everyone feel welcome, comfortable and safe.

π½ Food
Food is important to us!
Most lunches are shared with the family and prepared using fresh produce from the farm.
Breakfast is individual.
Dinner is usually cooked together by the volunteers in our outdoor kitchen.
We happily cater for most dietary requirements.

Work exchange
After several years of hosting WWOOFers we've found that four full work days creates the best balance for everyone.
Work:
Monday β Thursday
Days off:
Friday β Sunday
This gives you three full days every week to explore Switzerland.
The ideal stay is around three weeks, although shorter or longer stays are sometimes possible.
If possible, arrive on Sunday evening or Monday morning. We'll happily pick you up from the train station.
