At my farm, people can learn everything about oil plant cultivation and their cold pressing. We have a suitable oil mill for this. In addition, we plant old maize and grain varieties, thereby preserving regional biodiversity. People can also learn to operate the machines in the field. But also the operation of a water mill. We also show how self-sufficiency works, as well as local and international marketing in the field of cold-pressed oils and grain processing. That was one of the most informative and inspiring visits anyone could hope to experience. It provided valuable insight into the challenges and benefits of organic agriculture, as well as effective approaches to marketing. It was especially interesting to see that Lejla also has a shop where all of these wonderful products are available, demonstrating how sustainable farming and local business can go hand in hand In addition, learning about livestock and animal care made the visit even more enriching. The knowledge, passion she had for them taking each night with them before locking them goid night and practical experience shared throughout the visit made it both educational and enjoyable. Thank you for such a well-organized and memorable experience Thank you for taking such good care of me once i reached the airport till I left, introducing me to the local loving community , and showing me around beautiful Bosnia culture. Your kindness and hospitality made this visit truly special. I will always remember this wonderful experience

I spent around a month at Lejla's, who I honestly think is one of the most inspiring people I have ever met, her energy and passion for what she does and what she believes in, as well as her sense of humour and thinking. I looked after the sheep and chickens and the vegetable beds, sorted and ground maize and helped Lejla sow pumpkins in her fields among other things. We also made hay. I learned a lot, more than just the work. It was often hard work, but... Sitting by the Drina on hot afternoons and watching the water flow was very peaceful. The beauty of the surrounding mountains is hard to describe and Lejla's bread is the best. Hello all :) I stayed two weeks at Lejla's place. I am impressed by her courage, dedication and visionary thinking. Work I did included for example: - Taking care of the sheeps - Sorting nuts and other harvested vegetables - Harvest of pumpkins - Driving (car is not automatic) Lejla left her room for me. So I had privacy and my own bed. Since Lejlas' hand-produced oils and flour types need some storage, the space itself is limited. We had lunch mostly in the late afternoon and started the day around 8/9pm with a nice breakfast. The hours of work depended on the daily tasks. Lejla got in touch with me before my stay about the expected workload. We made plans from day to day, being in conversation on which tasks I would have. Wwoofing allows me to be part of someone's life - both on a social and work level. Lejla shared stories and perspectives. I left her place with some of her tasty products and a lot of memories! The fields she is cultivating are beautiful.

I had such a lovely time staying with Lejla on the farm! I was here for about two weeks in July and really enjoyed it. Lejla is a very open, interesting woman who is generous with her time and experiences, and I learned so much from her and the work itself. During my time here, most of the work I did ranged from sorting seeds for oil, sorting corn, taking kernels off corn for flour, picking crops and weeds, and helping with some of the animal maintenance (sheep and chickens, there's also some lovely stray dogs and cats that you'll get to meet if you stay here!) The layout of my days typically looked like waking up around 8, eating breakfast with Lejla at 9, working from 10:30ish-2, taking a break for lunch and maybe swimming in the river (which is just a stone's throw away from the farm), then working some more and having dinner. I loved the work I was doing, and I would recommend it, but only if you are willing to work hard and are interested in the sort of work that goes into oil/ grain production and self-sustaining farm work. If you are looking for a vacation, there are plenty of affordable hostels around Sarajevo and Mostar. Don't waste yours or Lejla's time if you are just looking for a leisurely stay ;) You will also be most helpful to her if you can drive an automatic car. Lejla is such an interesting and passionate person, and you will learn a lot from her! The farm is absolutely gorgeous, and full of surprises. Lejla is such a kind heart

Oh, I thought I'd already replied to the lovely Appalachian. What interesting life experiences with this quiet but attentive girl! With her, as well as with the other WWOOFers before her, I'm definitely making progress in my arduous work. Their spirits remain present in me and in my fields. I think of Ashley very fondly and often.

What a great experience I had working on Lejla's farm! This is the farm to come to if you want to learn about the organic process from start to finish and are willing to work hard. Lejla is so passionate about her work that it's hard for it to not rub off on you. I genuinely have never seen a woman to work as hard as her. Work on the farm is tough as there's a lot to be done and at the end of the day this is someone's livelihood so I wanted to do as much as I could. The foods she produces are top quality and so tasty and there was always fabulous organic food prepared by Lejla's mother too. I learned so much in my two weeks about the various grains, oils, seeds, fruit picking, crop maintenance, making jams, pests, watering, hay, sheep, preparing deliveries etc. I had many interesting conversations with Lejla, met some lovely people and she taught me a lot about the Bosnian way of life. I was lucky to see some of the beautiful country of Bosnia too. If you want great organic farming experience for at least 2 weeks and can drive, Lejla's farm is the place for you. Thank you Lejla for a great experience (even if I was your oldest Wwoofer ever!) :)

Lejla is such an interesting and passionate woman! I spent one week working and living with her (and her mother), and I have completely fell in love with the beautiful countryside of Bosnia. Lejla is very hard-working and dedicate to organic ecological food growing. Her home is very nice with comfortable rooms, located right next to a river surrounded by mountains. I have really enjoyed working and learning with her, from hand-picking wheat to processing oats...and we have shared many interesting conversations :) I really wish to go back to Bosnia and visit Lejla and her mother again x It was a very sweet and memorable experience.
