Hello WWOOfers, I am Nick 40 years old, live with my partner Mercy and our two young boys in the farm. The other two boys are away in school. We live in Pap Onditi, Kisumu, Kenya. It's a semi-rural, peaceful and quiet environment. We do organic farming and our main focus is on beekeeping, fruits and vegetables, poultry and animals like sheep, rabbits, cows.
We have a dog called Bob and a cat.
Our farming activities include gardening, planting, weeding, watering, cleaning animals houses, maturing the garden, building and repairs, inspecting beehives/harvesting honey, feeding among others.
Some of these activities are done in the morning and others are done in the afternoon based on daily or weekly plans.
WWOOFers will be able to learn about our language( local and Kiswahili) our culture, different farming systems, some of the herbs....
We eat dinner, breakfast and lunch together as a family. We have specific houses as accommodation for the WWOOFers which are private and they can share when more than one.
