We are a french couple, living in a remote village in outer-Kakheti (David Gareji area). We work all year long (gardening, foraging, sheperding) to have good food in our plates and make our animals (mainly goat) happy. We can teach how to milk and make cheese, but we usually don't ask volunteers to do those main tasks. They'll more be include in lighter tasks like sheperding (1/2 day), gardening, cooking and participating in our everyday life. For now we settled an old wagon in our garden, to have an independant room for visitors. Yet it needs to be arranged (building a deck for some outside facilities (summer shower, dry toilets, sink, small kitchen, chill out), and we would need an hand on this work. Showers and laundry happens to our place. Most of the time we cook and take our meals together (3 times a day). We love cooking good food, and we have a musician in the house (and many instruments) Till we are very busy with our daily work, there are many small projects in progress all around the house (half-buried greenhouse, chicken coop to build, restore wine yards , food preserves etc) and we're open to start those depending on anyone skills. Though we like independant people, able to achieve tasks on is own once it is explain.

My 3.5-week stay with Louise & Christophe was incredible and unforgettable! They - and their team of goats, dogs, and ducks, and their friends and family who visited throughout my stay - are exceptionally charming and welcoming. Shepherding the goats by the morning alone was surprisingly manageable, even with a wolf in the woods. And working as a farmhand by the afternoon - helping in the garden, cleaning the goat pen, embarking on various mini construction projects - was also doable. Each day had its own pleasant surprises and kept things interesting. Louise & Christophe take a lot of pride in what they cook and serve on the table. Each meal was better than the last! All freshly picked from the garden or from their various preserves. I highly recommend working and staying with them, and have been raving about my experience ever since I left!

I spent a beautiful stay with Louise and Christophe. The place in the village is very peaceful, they hosted me as a friend and I felt comfortable very quickly. The food is delicious, the accomodation is comfortable, you have your own privacy in the wagon. For the tasks, it depends on the needs, as shepherding, gardening (preparing soil, weeding, planting....) or some construction/renovation... They're open to our preferences as well. I really recommend this place, they have a wonderful lifestyle, it was a pleasure to share it with them for a while. They can also potentially teach how to make cheese, meat, wine, beer, as well as the Georgian language and how to play music... I'm greatful, Thank you very much 😀
