The Los Colibries ecological garden began in 2012 as a family-run organic farming project. Today, we have a great diversity of plants, including some native trees, fruit trees, a small vegetable garden, aromatic plants, and flowers. We also work on the production of products, transforming the aromatic plants and cacao produced in our garden into natural cosmetics and wellness products. The place is very peaceful, close to rivers and waterfalls, beautiful places for walks, a family-friendly atmosphere for children, we enjoy mindful eating, sharing new flavors and knowledge, music, and cultural exchange. Activities include gardening, organic farming, permaculture, harvesting and processing plant-based products, making natural cosmetics, and processing cacao and coffee. We have a room for volunteers, a camping area, a shared bathroom and kitchen, basic services (water, electricity, Wi-Fi), a gas stove, and a wood-burning stove. There are also common areas in the house and a garden with a beautiful river viewpoint. We enjoy cultural exchange, sharing delicious meals, music, and walks in nature. Near our house, there are several rivers and waterfalls to explore, as well as beautiful trails for nature observation and birdwatching

I left with tears in my eyes!! Erika and her family were so wonderful; I felt like we were part of their family. I traveled here with my 9-year-old and we fit right in. The work wasn't too hard, the farm is lovely, the nearby city is awesome - I would absolutely recommend coming here. Such a welcoming group.

Thank you all so so much for this wonderful time! We stayed three times longer than we had planned before, because we couldn't leave this lovely family. All of the people we met during this time as well as all of the animals made us feel so welcome and happy every day. The farm as well as the area around it are soo beautiful, all the food Erika cooked was very delicious and we learned a lot about the Colombian culture, cacao, seeds and tried our best to improve our spanish a bit;) We made so many different wonderful experiences and memories, not only with planting and exchanging food, culture and music:) We could stay way longer and miss all of you so much already! Hope to see you again very soon:) ¡Muchísimas gracias!
