A food farm with fruit orchards (dragon fruit, moringa, lemon, apple, gooseberry, guava) North India
India
My name is Mahendra Panwar, and I live in Udaipur. The farm is situated 25 km north of the city. I live here with my wife, caretaker and a dog.
Since this is a food (fruits and vegetables) farm, the day involves sowing, planting, weeding and harvesting. Regular maintenance activities play a crucial role in keeping the farm well-maintained.
We offer the option of twin-sharing rooms with attached bathrooms, as well as a dorm with a shared bathroom. Three meals will be prepared on the farm and served.
I love cooking and serving and sharing about the historical monuments close by. Trekking on the Aravali mountains, birding, visiting lakes, temples, and historical forts.

On arrival i was greeted with warmth and kindness, this continued until the end of my stay. Mahendra has an encyclopaedic knowledge of each plant in and around his farm. Each day i would learn how to care for the many different fruit trees and help maintain the farm. The food was so incredibly delicious and opened my eyes to the traditional delicacies. The farm is stunningly beautiful, endless blue skies, amber forests and mountain horizons. The richness of wildlife is magnificent with parakeets and hornbills flying between the fruiting trees. This will be a place i'll never forget :) thank you very much Mahendra

Mahendra is a very kind man who is very knowledgable and passionate about organic farming.
The food he cooks is also amazing.
He takes a lot of time to teach you about the best ways to grow his crop. I would 10/10 recommend coming to his farm.

These few days of WWOOFing at the superb Mewar Exotic Farm were an absolute delight. Mahendra is a wonderful teacher; he took the time to explain everything to me and show me around his organic farm, with its delicious fruits and vegetables. Being able to share his daily life with other volunteers was a truly wonderful experience. In just a few days, I felt completely at home, useful, and incredibly happy to be in this little corner of natural paradise. A week filled with kindness, learning, conversations, and culinary discoveries that I won't soon forget.
