Hello Wwoofers!!!
Iiyimati Homestead is a family-run initiative committed to self-sustainability and environmental consciousness. In partnership with Living Earth Namibia, we strive to inspire our community to embrace eco-friendly practices while producing nutritious food for both humans and animals.
We are based in northern Namibia, in the Oshana Region—less than 7 km from Oshakati along the D3642 gravel road. Our homestead is a vibrant family space, home to two friendly dogs and a cat. We warmly welcome visitors, community members, volunteers, and businesses interested in learning and sharing.
Our 4-hectare homestead supports a variety of livestock including chickens, ducks, goats, quails, and pigs. We grow most of the animals’ feed ourselves using traditional methods. At Iiyimati, you will experience the richness of Oshiwambo cultural traditions and meaningful cultural exchange.
Our farming approach blends traditional practices with modern, sustainable techniques, with a strong commitment to environmentally friendly methods. We practice agroforestry and uphold a zero-waste philosophy in everything we do.
