Bonjour, je suis Samba Cire Diallo, professeur et directeur à l'école du village Ibel. Pendant l'hivernage je pratique le maraîchage avec ma famille, nous cultivons du maïs (très consommé ici), des arachides, des poivrons, des aubergines sénégalaise, ect
Les woofeurs seront hébergés dans une case traditionnelle à proximité de la maison familiale. Ils profiteront d'un endroit calme dans une nature préservée et pourront apprendre la cuisine traditionnelle, la boulangerie et la construction et réparation de cases ou greniers (en saison sèche). Les repas sont partagés avec la famille et le but de cet accueil n'est pas d'avoir des ouvriers agricoles mais bien de se rencontrer, de partager nos cultures et surtout de faire visiter à des étrangers la plus belle région du monde! En effet je connais le pays Bassari comme ma poche et serait ravi de vous montrer nos magnifiques cascades, nos immenses baobabs et nos villages autoconstruits en matériaux locaux (bambous, terre, herbes sèches et feuilles de palmiers).
Les activités sont très variées : semis en pépinière, semis en plein champ, repiquage, désherbage, récolte, réparation de la clôture, contrôle, arrosage, ect
Les repas sont partagés avec la famille, nous mangeons des plats simples, à base de semoule sénégalaise, riz ou spaghetti.
Les woofeurs pourront proposer des activités à l'école primaire et des cours particuliers pour les collégiens.
Beaucoup de fêtes traditionnelles sont organisées pendant l'année, j'espère que vous pourrez y assister!
Hello, I am Samba Cire Diallo, a teacher and headmaster at the Ibel village school. During the rainy season, I practice market gardening with my family. We grow corn (a staple here), peanuts, peppers, Senegalese eggplants, and more. WWOOFers will be hosted in a traditional hut near the family home. They will enjoy a peaceful setting surrounded by unspoiled nature and will have the opportunity to learn traditional cooking, baking, and the construction and repair of huts or granaries (during the dry season). Meals are shared with the family, and the purpose of this hosting is not to find farm laborers but rather to meet, share our cultures, and above all, show foreigners the most beautiful region in the world! I know the Bassari country like the back of my hand and would be delighted to show you our magnificent waterfalls, our immense baobab trees, and our villages built using local materials (bamboo, earth, dried grasses, and palm leaves). The activities are very varied: sowing in the nursery, sowing in the open field, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, fence repair, monitoring, watering, etc. Meals are shared with the family; we eat simple dishes based on Senegalese semolina, rice, or spaghetti. WWOOFers will be able to offer activities at the primary school and tutoring for middle school students. Many traditional festivals are organized throughout the year; I hope you will be able to attend them.
