¡Esto es Casa Kigelia!
Somos una familia de 5 personas (3 adultos, un niño y un bebé). La gestión del espacio la hacemos Ana Florencia (ilustradora, tatuadora, artista gráfica, músico y clown) y Gabriel (consultor agroforestal).
Estamos en un pequeño pueblo en las montañas. A 20 minutos de Malinalco.
Aquí viven también 5 perros, 3 gatos, 2 caballos y varias gallinas.
En este espacio gestionamos una huerta de hortaliza, un vivero agroforestal, un Sistema Agroforestal Sintrópico (SAFS), y un camp de perros (negocio de pensión de perros). Nos gusta mucho compartir lo que hemos aprendido y aprender más de quienes nos rodean.
Cada día hacemos:
-Alimentar y atender a los caballos y gallinas.
Y otras actividades como:
-Manejo del huerto de hortaliza
-Podas de árboles frutales y forestales.
-Manejo del Sistema agroforestal sintrópico (SAFS)
-Elaboración de compostas
-Elaboración de fertilizantes naturales
-Siembra de plántulas y árboles en el vivero
-Acariciar perritos
-Recolectar semillas
-Mantenimiento a espacios y construcciones
-Acariciar gatitos
En algunos casos puede haber:
-Proyectos de bioconstrucción
El alojamiento es un cuarto amplio, cómodo e independiente de la casa principal.
Cuenta con cocina y baño (seco) propio con regadera (húmeda) caliente.
Internet de buena velocidad. preciosa vista y un fogón de leña para el frío.
En casa cocinamos diariamente alimentos saludables, deliciosos y vegetarianos/veganos con productos que cosechamos y compramos en el mercado local.
Los desayunos y comidas serán con toda la familia, con cenas opcionales.
Nos gusta mucho la gente con mente y corazones abiertos a vivir la experiencia en la montaña. Tenemos muchos instrumentos musicales, nos gusta cocinar, sembrar, y acariciar animales.
Nos gusta montar a caballo (a nuestra yegua Mora), y podríamos organizar cabalgatas con los WOOFERs interesados.
A 10 minutos a pie hay un gran bosque con muchos senderos, un río con pozas para nadar, y muchos cerros para subir.
En la comunidad hay varios temazcales a la semana.

This is Casa Kigelia!
We are a family of five (three adults and two children). The space is managed by Ana Florencia (illustrator, tattoo artist, graphic artist, musician, and clown) and Gabriel (agroforestry consultant).
We are located in a small town in the mountains, 20 minutes from Malinalco.
We also have five dogs, three cats, two horses, and several chickens living here.
In this space, we manage a vegetable garden, an agroforestry nursery, a Syntropic Agroforestry System (SAFS), and a dog camp (dog boarding business). We love sharing what we've learned and learning more from those around us.
Every day we do the following:
- Feeding and caring for the horses and chickens.
And other activities such as:
- Managing the vegetable garden
- Pruning fruit and forest trees
- Managing the Syntropic Agroforestry System (SAFS)
- Making compost
- Making natural fertilizers
- Planting seedlings and trees in the nursery
- Petting dogs
- Collecting seeds
- Maintaining spaces and buildings
- Petting kittens
In some cases, there may be:
- Green building projects
The accommodation is a spacious, comfortable room separate from the main house.
It has a kitchen and its own (dry) bathroom with a hot (wet) shower.
Fast internet, beautiful views, and a wood-burning stove for the cold.
At home, we cook healthy, delicious, vegetarian/vegan meals daily with produce we harvest and buy at the local market.
Breakfast and lunch will be shared with the whole family, with optional dinners.
We really like people with open minds and hearts willing to experience the mountains. We have many musical instruments, we enjoy cooking, planting, and petting animals.
We enjoy horseback riding (our mare, Mora), and we could organize rides with interested WOOFERs.
A 10-minute walk away is a large forest with many trails, a river with swimming holes, and many hills to climb.
There are several temazcals in the community each week.
