Hello, wonderful people. We are a young family - my husband Stane (43), children Eli (8) Mark (4) and me Barbara (37). Living with our grandparents (78, 74) on our centuries-old hilltop organic farm. On the farm, we have horses, sheep, chickens, geese, dogs, and other lovely pets. On the farm, we are developing a range of daily activities for children and families, where they can experience life with nature and other living beings, understand the significance of all involved, and respect natural cycles. In the future, we will also offer spaces for longer stays on our farm. We believe that in this way, we encourage a sense of inner peace and contentment, which helps in resolving lifelong challenges and promotes a healthier and higher quality of life. On the farm, we take care of the animals daily (feeding, cleaning, grooming), work in the fields where we tend to the vegetables and produce feed for the animals (mowing, haymaking). There is also a lot of work on the farm related to maintaining the surroundings and caring for the fences where the animals graze. When we have workshops for groups of children, we prepare the materials for crafting and the space beforehand, and then we spend time with the children – depending on the workshop's content, each one is connected to staying on our farm. WWOOFers can learn a lot of professional knowledge about animals (care, reproduction, riding,...) and get acquainted with ethnological knowledge (shearing sheep, wool crafting, knitting, making preserves, juices, ...). We will eat together at the following times: breakfast (8:00), lunch (13:00), and dinner (18:00). The food is prepared for omnivores, ourselves at home.. For accommodation, we have a room with sanitary facilities in a wooden building next to the house. I am interested in topics related to mental well-being and psychology – I read books and listen to podcasts. I enjoy practicing yoga, walking, and cycling, as well as making various decorative items. I love spending time with animals. I adore planning how to organize our farm and its surroundings. I am someone who enjoys activities, but I also cherish moments of peace. By education, I hold a Master's degree in Animal Science. I feel a mission to combine my knowledge with my energy and pass it on to others. Since I am curious, playful, and sometimes a bit childlike, this fits perfectly with working with children. :)

Barbara has a really nice little farm surrounded by beautiful green hills. There is a bit of everything, large and small animals, vegetables and fruits to harvest. End of September there was not much field work to do anymore, instead we worked more inside the house. The food was great and Barbara always cooked some extra vegetarian things for me, which was really nice. The woofers stay in a room in a separate building next to the main house, this room has the shower and compost toilet inside. If you share it with another Wwoofer, there is a bit of communication needed for toilet privacy, but we could manage it quite well. Overall I really enjoyed the stay on this cute little farm!

It was an amazing week with Barbara and her family! I didn't expect such a care and what a great food was there! 🤭 I was there with a friend so we could divide some works. Most of the time there was a time around a garden, potatoes and weeding. Also, I really enjoyed a time with horses and training lessons, which Barbara gave us. We also had a free time and if you love mountains and a silent time from a rush of the city - then this place is for you 🍀

We had a wonderful time with Barbara and her family. They were super hospitable, took great care of us and made us feel at home. The tasks were varied and diverse. We spend a lot of time with the family, the children and the dogs aswell. We would recommend the farm to anyone.
