A regenerative organic farm.
Zambia
My name is Bujianna and I recently relocated back to Zambia from New York. I worked in finance but now I am a regenerative, organic farmer. I am still figuring things out.
I have an urban regenerative organic demonstration site exploring alternatives farming and building practices inside Lusaka and an organic farm in the outskirts of Lusaka. We are working on growing our own food, harvesting water, and using biogas for cooking as well as increasing the biodiversity in our microclimate.
We are showing how we can utilize our 2000 square meter plot more efficiently and sustainably.
We have several projects that we are working on, like the bottle wall, the office, and building of the solar dryer. We also have goats, chickens, bees and dogs.
We also have a farm where we grow our food, A plot that we would like to build a sustainable urban green space. And lastly, we have a river front piece of land that we would like to develop into a campground and/or resort.
We have 3 dogs, 2 pegs, 20+ goats and dozens of chickens.
Farming activities include feeding the animals. Tending to the garden. Diy building projects, going to farmers market, organizing spaces and community outreach.
Basic kitchen is available with healthy Corn Mil and Zambian Rice. Produce veggies from the garden. and shops are available nearby if guests want special preferences.
Rollerblading, sewing, travelling.
