Permaculture inspired farm producing free range eggs, organic no-till veggies and raw honey.
Cyprus
We are a small organic farm owned by a young couple, Michalis (35), Lena (31) and our farm dog Morty(3). We are situated in the south eastern part of Cyprus and we produce free range eggs, organic veggies, raw honey, olive oil and some limited amount of meat chickens and turkeys.
We are a diversified farm so no one day will be the same. You will be working 5 hour shifts Monday-Friday, 7AM-12PM and have the weekends off. Tasks may include but are not limited to the following:
- Planting/weeding/harvesting and general maintenance of the veggie garden
- Pruning trees and general maintenance of the orchard
- Turning compost piles
- Collecting and sorting eggs
- Feeding/watering/unloading feed for chickens
- Harvesting olives(seasonal)
- Moving beehives (seasonal)
- General maintenance of the farm
We provide accommodation on site in a recently refurbished caravan. There's a small separate communal building equipped with a kitchenette, electric stove, fridge/freezer, washing machine, electric heater, air fryer, coffee machine, utensils, shower, toilet and unlimited WiFi. Bed linen and towels will be provided so there's no need for sleeping bags.
We will keep you well fed throughout your stay as the majority of our diet comes from the farm. Normally we will provide you with all the raw ingredients and you can prepare your own meals but on some occasions your meals will be prepared for you beforehand.
The farm is located 3km from Avgorou town center accessible via a bike lane. We have 2 bicycles available for use. In the town center you'll find grocery stores, cafes, bakeries, restaurants,a bar and bus stops (for local and intercity routes). We are also 7 km away from the nearest beach or 15km from the nearest organised beach in Ayia Napa accessible via bus. On your days off we might be able to drop you off/pick you up to/from certain local points of interest. As a couple, we are very easy going and have a fairly relaxed lifestyle. We enjoy cooking, good food and spending time with our dog.

November 2025
My time with Michalis and Lena at Nomad’s Farm was fantastic. They were both very welcoming, and made an effort to make me feel at home.
The work was rewarding, with an opportunity to help out in various different ways at the farm, from tending to the vegetable plot, tidying the farm, helping move chicken feed, and even collecting eggs. The expectations of work were very fair and left me with a lot of free time as well to explore Cyprus.
The accommodation was comfortable, quite simple but has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Michalis and Lena were also checking regularly to make sure I was happy with everything or if I needed anything.
My one recommendation, if you volunteer at Nomad’s, would be to hire a car so you are able to see more of Cyprus. Michalis and Lena have plenty of excellent recommendations for places to visit, eat, or relax.
A note for folks who maybe are not so comfortable with dogs, Morty is one of the most well behaved dogs I have ever met and whilst he is very excitable and friendly, he is well trained and you can get him to leave you alone if you prefer.
I would very happily stay with Michalis and Lena again!

We spent two weeks at Nomads Farm, and it was truly an amazing experience.
Michalis and Lena were very welcoming. They gave us lots of tips and recommendations to explore the area in the best way possible. They also shared their culture with us, allowing us to learn about Cypriot life.
The accommodation was very clean, and they provided everything we needed to feel comfortable.
Michalis showed us everything on the farm . He was patient and answered all our questions while we were working.
We took part in the harvest, weeding, general farm work, and beekeeping…
Thank you so much for the stay! We wish you all the best with your various farm projects, and also as a family.

Michalis and his family were very kind and supportive. I am very grateful for that. Work on the farm included weeding, planting, setting up the irrigation and whatever was necessary. This was great fun. You can expect to learn a lot about what works and what doesn't in permaculture, learn about bee keeping and raising chickens. Note that between June and August/September it gets really hot on Cyprus, and you cannot do much during the day.

I had a great experience. The tiny home has everything I needed. I got well defined work to do each day working with plants in the outdoors. Michalis was a kind and generous host.
