Community Village School who do farming
Cambodia
**Profile Description for WWOOF**
We are a small charity organization based in the tranquil village of Prey Sbat, Takeo Province, Cambodia. Our project focuses on providing free education, agricultural training, and community support to local children and families. The people living here include a dedicated team of educators, volunteers, and a few local families. We have no pets but take pride in our peaceful and welcoming environment.
WWOOFers will be provided with free accommodations, including a private room with a mosquito net, bedding, and two daily meals—lunch and dinner. We aim to create a family-like atmosphere where you’ll feel at home while contributing to our community.
Our farming activities involve sustainable crop cultivation, animal care, and organic gardening. WWOOFers can expect to learn about basic agriculture, animal husbandry, and eco-friendly farming techniques, as well as engage in community education programs. We look forward to teaching volunteers hands-on farming skills while sharing cultural experiences in our beautiful rural setting.
**Typical Farming Activities**
Our farming activities focus on sustainable agriculture, including growing vegetables, fruits, and herbs, as well as animal husbandry. WWOOFers will participate in daily tasks like planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting crops, as well as feeding and caring for animals. We also practice composting and natural pest control methods to maintain an eco-friendly farm.
**What We Teach WWOOFers**
You will learn how to grow food sustainably using local techniques, improve soil health through composting, and manage small-scale livestock. WWOOFers will also gain insights into how farming supports our educational and community initiatives.
**Average Day for a WWOOFer**
A typical day begins with breakfast, followed by 3-4 hours of farming tasks. In the afternoon, WWOOFers might assist with community activities or help with small construction projects. Evenings are free to explore the village or relax with the team.
**Feeding and Housing for WWOOFers**
WWOOFers will be provided with free accommodations in a comfortable room equipped with a mosquito net, bedding (blanket and pillows), and basic necessities like a towel. The room is simple yet cozy, offering a relaxing space to unwind after a day of work.
We offer two free meals daily—lunch and dinner—prepared with fresh, local ingredients. Meals typically include a mix of rice, vegetables, and protein, reflecting the local Cambodian cuisine. WWOOFers are also welcome to join in cooking and meal preparation to learn more about local dishes and ingredients.
We enjoy a variety of hobbies here, from cooking traditional Cambodian dishes to playing music with local instruments. Volunteers are welcome to join us in these activities and even share their own musical skills.
For those who enjoy the outdoors, the area offers opportunities for hiking through nearby scenic routes and exploring the surrounding countryside. On warmer days, you can visit nearby swimming spots to cool off and relax. The village also provides a great chance to immerse yourself in local culture, with markets and temples just a short walk away.

This project is really fascinating and inspiring. I loved to have been there for 2 weeks and I would have extended if I had more time. It’s not only a school but a beautiful project where Mr Kim and his family help other people in the community that are in need. I see I do!
The school is an afternoon reinforcement for the children to improve english, mandarin and computers, the volunteers help in more creative activities and give the children the opportunity to speak in english and have contact with other cultures. You can also propose new activities if you feel like.
In the morning you help in the maintenance of the garden, new construction or whatever is going on. They have a lot of trees, animals and plantations to be self sufficient. And always thinking on how to grow and improve the project.
There are always other volunteers so it’s very nice to meet new people and share this experience.
You need to see it by yourself :)
Thanks Kim!

My two-week stay at the charity school with Mr. Kim and his family has been an unforgettable experience. Everyone here was incredibly kind, welcoming, and supportive from the very first day.
During my time here, I helped with gardening tasks such as cutting bamboo, shoveling sand into wheelbarrows and transporting it to the building that is soon to become an orphanage. I also swept the classrooms and helped feed the fish and birds. It felt meaningful to contribute, even in small ways, to the amazing work being done here.
Mr. Kim shared his culture with us and took us to various events, giving us insights we would have never experienced otherwise. He is truly the best host—an exceptional man with a big heart and a genuine passion for helping others.
Thank you for everything. I leave with gratitude, beautiful memories, and deep respect for this place and its people.

First of all, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to WWOOF for introducing me to I SEE I DO and for working with Maya for the nature and children of Cambodia.
Thank you for Maya’s generosity and hard work with many other volunteers to maintain the garden, feed the animals, visit the poor in remote rural areas, and especially for putting all your strength and energy into building the school, including the orphanage.
We hope that Maya will visit I SEE I DO again in the near future. We wish you good luck and enjoy your trip everywhere.
Best Regards,
Kim Ny-I SEE I DO

I had a wonderful time at I SEE I DO SCHOOL.
The local people and the students were very friendly, and their smiles gave me energy.
Mr. Kim and his family were very kind.
Also, the meals Mr. Kim's wife cooked were simple but delicious, which was our biggest pleasure.
Thank you all once again.

NAOTO is a gentle man, he respects the rights of his colleagues and knows how to help those around him. He especially loves agricultural work, he respects the work plan and is meticulous. NAOTO is the second volunteer of the Japanese people to volunteer with the I SEE I DO project in a province in the south of Cambodia. A small community school in a remote area of Cambodia, I hope that the Japanese people will join us in helping Cambodian children. The people of Cambodia respect the Japanese people and the culture of this country. The family of the I SEE I DO community school wishes him good health, happiness in his travels, and hopes that he will come to visit and work with us again.

I See I Do is a haven within the Prey Sbat community and an incredible resource to so many!! Kim has been building this program for over ten years and draws on experience from the establishment of two previous schools. During your time here, you can expect to learn about various farming tips and techniques. For example, I did a lot of soil transfer, plant trimming, and composting. However, most of your time will likely be spent interacting with the students… they are wonderful!! The students are so kind, welcoming, and excited to learn about the volunteers!! Your day starts at 7am with morning stretches with the students. When they go off to class, the volunteers will spend roughly 3-4 hours in the morning doing yard work and then have a break during the peak heat of the day around noon for lunch. At 2pm we resumed with work or spent the rest of the day playing frisbee and badminton with the students. Volunteers are given lunch and dinner which is typically a combination of rice and some kind of protein with vegetables (delicious!! And so much variety!!). Mr Kim and his family were very accommodating to dietary needs e.g. vegetarians. Volunteers have Sundays off and Mr Kim organized an amazing itinerary for us to Chisor Mountain Temple and a lake swim!! I would strongly recommend this experience to everyone! It is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the rich history and beautiful culture of Cambodia whilst having a positive impact. You are in for an adventure!! :))

Mr. Kim was a lovely and welcoming host, who clearly cares so much for the children at the school and his community. I spent a week here, mostly moving around materials for the construction of a new building, prepping beds for new veg, and starting a volunteer handbook and project logbook to help improve continuity between volunteers. I would strongly recommend I See I Do for any wwoofer hoping to have a meaningful cultural experience.

Hello
From Cambodia
On behalf of the people and children of the village community, I would like to thank Ary from America for her kindness and love.
She volunteered with I SEE I DO Community School for a week, delivering sand, rocks, soil, wood and other materials to the construction site of another school and for the orphans.
Ary also helped with the gardening, weeding, planting and cleaning of all areas of the school grounds.
She helped organize a gift distribution event for 250 children, which was sponsored by the Cambodian-New Zealand community, who donated $500 to build the school.
On behalf of all the students of I SEE I DO Community School, I wish Ary good health, happiness on his journey and a safe return to America.
We hope that Ary will visit us again in the future and we will remember you.
Best regards,
Kim Ny-I SEE I DO

On behalf of my family, I SEE I DO community and all the students in Trapeang Thum Khang Cheung commune, I would like to thank Klara for her kindness heart and volunteering to help our school.
She taught the children with love and really care, especially she made the children smile with fun games during the break time from school.
Every Monday morning to Saturday morning, she worked hard to train, participate in cleaning the lawn to maintain the garden and children's playground.
Klara helped me a lot when I was in the hospital because I had a stroke. She was a gentle, friendly, loving and very hardworking woman.
My family, many people in the community and all the children miss her very much, especially her unforgettable love at all times and hope to see her again in the near future.
I wish Clara good luck, happiness in all her travels and a safe return to her homeland.
