Hello everybody! My name is Hamid i'm 29 yers old we are family berber live in south morocco in small village call Tagounite .my parents siblings moving from pasture to pasture in the vast desert, The knowledge of the berbercultur has been passed down to me. Attached to this harsh and alluring land, I would love to make your journey a haunting and magic experience desert life. I live in Tagounite, and i start with my family home build guesthouse located in the palmtree garden area which is inviting you to take wounderful excursions between dates and pomegranates where people can experience desert life. and we say welcome to anyone want to help us and we say welcome and serve people from all over the world..our interest is to share what we have with other..we are open minded and interested in exchanging ideas and experiences desert life I am looking for volunteers who can help with general building, maintenence, gardening etc. keep the animal and help my familly in house. You will cook with us, go on hikes, explore the area and party in our traditional way. And we wish to exchange help at any thing and exchange our cultures with anyone from all the world just contact us we will be glade to host you We eat breakfast and lunch and dinner and w can have eting befor that or after tagounite is small village in souht morocco in door the desert.Families are abandoning the nomadic lifestyle for various reasons. The borders being closed has blocked much of the trans-Saharan trade. Many nomadic families were forced to leave the farms to grow date palms and tagounite is now the home of a new settled way of life.I always wanted to have contact with other persons from other cultures. I now have many friends from all over the world , and I still want to get in touch with others who have not yet experience the desert life. if you want to experience a totally different culture and different people you can take some time out of your life to forget the modern life and visit us. Here we use the wood to make the fire, to give us the light and we cook by it, we use traditional bathroom and sleeping facilities. We go out of our way to make sure you are comfortable and have a good experience. We can make arrangements to accompany you into the large sand dunes of the Sahara the Erg Chegaga, the group of the highest dunes of the Moroccan Sahara. You can do magnificent hikes in the desert by camel or jeep. To spend the night in the desert is a great experience to stay in nomadic tent and sleep untul the start. Volunteers currently go to the small river nearby to swim or just chill together here during their time off, but we can help anyone to arrange any trips they wish to take. just contact us we will be glade to host you and looking forward to see you here inchalah

I was on the project of Hassan, the cousin of Hamid, to help him to rebuild his house in a village near Tagounite. The atmosphere, the work, place and people were amazing. Big up to Abdoul and Saïd, who were always with us and great persons =D For the work we were working around 2hours in the morning before it was getting too hot, and we were cooking together for the meals. Thank you for everything, greating y'all was truly a priviledge

Our stay with Hamid has been a truly rewarding and educational experience and one that will remain with us for life! He has taught us not only about his culture through his language, food and long, interesting conversations but also how to live a truly sustainable lifestyle. The accommodation is very comfortable and the peace and quiet you will experience here, especially looking at the stars at night, is unique. The farm has a lot of potential and we learned valuable skills for date farming and optimisation of water in a land with a scarce supply of water (he showed us how they dig wells to extract water from the earth). We highly recommend that you spend a few days at Farm Oulad Ali with Hamid!
