đżSustainable living center in the Amazon, learn permaculture & syntropic agriculture in the jungle.
Peru
đ Description:
Become part of the development of a sustainable living center in the Peruvian Amazon, located in the jungle of Tarapoto.
This is a personal project that is continuously growing; the vision is to work with nature and not against it: regenerating the forest, growing food that also serves as medicine, producing our own energy, practicing permaculture and syntropic agriculture, and building mainly with natural bioconstruction techniques.
Itâs an authentic, simple, and real space. Here youâll find jungle life, calm, mindful work, and constant learning.
I am currently developing a vegetable garden, a food forest, bioconstruction areas, water systems, trails, and community spaces â all with a vision of self-sufficiency and a deep connection with nature.
âš People who come here learn:
đ Syntropic agriculture
đż Practical permaculture
đ± Soil regeneration and management
đŸ Composting
đ Bioconstruction
đȘ” Carpentry
đł Creative homemade cooking & Peruvian food
đ Techniques for simple and sustainable living in the jungle
We also share moments of calm and connection: hikes, bonfires, birdwatching, music, and time with the animals that live here.
Very close to the project, there are waterfalls and natural pools where we often go to swim and enjoy the water.
Itâs the perfect environment for those seeking an authentic experience in the Amazon, learning by doing, and living in harmony with the forest.
My space is open to genuine people who want to learn, contribute, and be part of the process of creating a self-sustaining place in the jungle.
đ Cultural exchange and learning opportunities:
In Purma PĂ©rgola youâll experience real jungle life, learning directly from nature and from the daily activities we do together.
đż Practical learning:
Permaculture basics, syntropic farming, natural building (clay & bamboo), composting, soil care, dry toilet usage, basic carpentry, wood-fired cooking, natural detergent with ash, and sustainable living principles.
đ€ Cultural exchange:
Life in the Amazon, local neighbors, medicinal plants, fruits, shared cooking, stories, simple moments of connection, and the chance to learn or practice Spanish.
đ Personal growth:
A space for calm, creativity, hands-on learning, and reconnecting with nature and yourself.
đ Accommodation:
The accommodation is simple, natural, and in direct contact with the jungle. Everything is built with local materials such as wood, bamboo, and clay, creating an authentic and cozy environment.
đïž Rustic Private Room
A simple, comfortable room with good natural ventilationâperfect for resting at the end of the day. Itâs a quiet space where you can relax and enjoy the calm of the surrounding forest.
đĄ Two-Story Structure
A spacious and airy building made mainly from bamboo. From here, you can appreciate a beautiful view of the mountains, and itâs common to spot birds and other animals from the area. Itâs rustic, functional, and ideal for those who enjoy sleeping close to nature.
đïž Camping & Hammock Area
If you prefer camping, you can bring your own tent. There is also a covered area where you can hang your hammock. Spending the night here is an immersive experience, surrounded by the natural sounds of the jungle.
â Basic Services Available
We offer a shared kitchen, common spaces for eating or relaxing, natural spring water, a dry toilet, and an outdoor shower. Everything is simple and made with care.
Everything here is simple and built with love. What truly matters is the connection with nature, the tranquility, and the real experience of being part of a growing sustainable project.
đ âł Recommended Duration
I recommend a minimum stay of 3 weeks so you can truly connect with the rhythm of the rainforest. The first week is ideal for adapting to the environment, and the following weeks allow us to go deeper into activities such as hiking, chocolate making, developing your own projects, and even visiting RĂo Abiseo National Park.
Staying longer allows you to learn more, relax, and enjoy the experience in a more complete and meaningful way.
đ
Monthly Experience Cycle
To keep the experience clear and harmonious for everyone, I organize arrivals at the beginning of each month. The ideal arrival dates are the 1st or 2nd, and preferably on a Monday or Tuesday, because those days allow us to start calmly, get to know each other well, and enter the rhythm of the place together.
We spend three weeks sharing learning, nature, and life in the rainforest, and the last week of the month I dedicate to my own rhythm: working on the land, resting, integrating the month, or continuing to share if someone feels aligned to stay longer. This monthly order helps everything flow naturally and keeps the energy light and clear.
âïž If you need more specific information about living conditions or logistics, just send me a message â Iâll happily explain everything.

I spent three incredible weeks at Frank's project!
It's a magical place, surrounded by nature, where you take the time for the essential things!
Frank is a wonderful person, always attentive, he makes sure everyone feels comfortable and that everyone can express their desires and feelings!
He's always ready to laugh and do crazy things!
Frank knows a lot, he's open-minded, it's always nice to chat with him!
Frank explained how his permaculture garden works, and we got to garden with him. We also built a table from scratch using bio construction methods! It was super interesting!
We also got to make chocolate and taste it with his uncle!
We also spent some wonderful moments in town with his family. I loved living in harmony with nature, waking up to the sounds of insects and birds, showering in the heart of nature, cooking over a wood fire, fetching water from the spring, walking barefoot, making eco-friendly soap, living in step with the times, without stressing out...
With Frank, we also cooked the best Chaufa in Tarapoto!
He also took us to Abiceo National Park; it was an incredible three days, visiting waterfalls, swimming in caves, and hiking in the jungle!
I also loved our little barefoot morning runs!
This experience opened my mind to so many things. I was able to let go of some of my preconceived notions and it made me want to keep discovering new things!
I leave this place feeling enriched, with a smile on my face and a desire to restart!
Thank you so much Frank !

At the end of my five-month journey through South America, I spent four weeks with Frank in his project. I had originally planned to stay for just two weeks, but ended up staying longerâfor many reasons.
At first, I had to adjust to the rhythm of the jungle: working in the garden early before the sun grew too strong, resting when it rained, collecting firewood and fetching water. Cooking over the fire takes patience. By slowing down, I became more presentâgrateful for the food we shared, the surrounding nature, and the conversations we had.
Frank is an attentive, intuitive, kind, and open person who became a friend. I felt seen, and my ideas and initiatives were always welcomed and appreciated. Some days, it was just the two of us; later, other volunteers joined, and we shared a beautiful time together.
I learned how to build a bench from bamboo, make bricks from cement, and sharpen a macheteâŠ
One of the highlights was making chocolate (from cacao we had harvested, fermented, and dried ourselves) with his uncle Cesar. It was an unforgettable experience. Spending time with Cesar was always heartwarming and inspiring.
Thank you, Frank, for your trust, your space, your energy, and for sharing your knowledge and your way of seeing the world.
