Arcapacha es el lugar donde tendrás la oportunidad de reencontrarte contigo. Para compartir, para dar y para recibir. Aquí podrás disfrutar y colaborar aprendiendo del lugar. Estamos situados a 130 kilómetros al sur de Bogotá, la capital colombiana. Nos encontramos en el bosque húmedo tropical, contamos con una gran biodiversidad en fauna y flora. El clima cálido se presta para aprender todo lo relacionado con el cultivo de cacao. Disfrutaras de la naturaleza rodeada de ríos y senderos. Podrás relajarte en un ambiente de armonía y conectar tu ser con el ecosistema.
Tenemos un estudio para artes plásticas, comida sana y la posibilidad de practicar yoga, taichi, o meditar. Ademas, contamos con una piscina del agua del rio sin cloro, un paisaje precioso y wifi para seguir conectados con el resto del mundo.
Las actividades diarias en Arcapacha tienen que ver con el cultivo de cacao. Desayunamos y salimos a trabajar en el campo. Los árboles están en laderas en medio de ríos y bosque húmedo tropical. La temperatura media es de 25 grados centígrados.
Dependiendo el periodo del año se estará recolectando los frutos, podando los arboles o haciendo semilleros. Los voluntarios podrán aprender todo lo relacionado con el cultivo de cacao. Paralelo trabajamos en el mantenimiento de las instalaciones. Carpinteria, construcción, pintura o jardinería.
Desayunamos y a las 8,30 salimos a trabajar en el campo jornadas de 4 o 5 horas dependiendo el tipo de trabajo. Las tardes son libres también los domingos.
Antes del desayuno hay la posibilidad de practicar yoga en el estudio, el lugar se presta para meditar, escribir o hacer música..
Las comidas en Arcapacha son muy importantes, tomamos el tiempo para cocinar nuestros alimentos con productos de la region. Antes y despúes de trabajar en el campo es importante alimentarnos bien así valoramos el esfuerzo y vemos los resultados con gratitud a Arcapacha.
Es posible visitar los alrededores donde se encuentran ríos, cascadas y caminatas por senderos maravillosos. Si te gusta nadar es posible en los ríos o en la piscina. En Arcapacha realizamos ceremonias y catas de cacao para grupos. Visitar la finca es una experiencia inolvidable.
Para venir Arcapacha desde Bogota se puede tomar un bus a Melgar la ciudad más cercana. Desde ahi se puede tomar un taxi desde Melgar el valor es de 20 Euros . También podemos organizar el transporte es más sencillo por horarios y escalas .
La region esta rodeada por senderos para hacer caminatas, cascadas y cuevas que se pueden visitar. Conocimiento básico del español es recomendable ya que los habitantes de la region no hablan otros idiomas.
Cuidamos del cacao en armonía con la naturaleza disfrutando lo que cultivamos.
La filosofía de Arcapacha es: Arte, Reforestación, Comunidad y Agricultura.
Somos consientes del bosque, los ríos y el ecosistema en general, sembramos sin pesticidas y preparamos nuestros abonos orgánicamente.

Ich habe 2 Wochen auf Arcapacha verbracht und die Zeit sehr genossen. Auf der Farm fühlt man sich inmitten des Regenwalds und ist von Grün, bunten Vögeln und unzähligen Mangos umgeben. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und es gibt viele Möglichkeiten nach der Arbeit die Gegend zu erkunden oder die Aussicht und den Pool zu geniessen. Die Arbeit umfasste v.a. Baumpflege und Kakaoernte. German ist sehr offen und nimmt sich Zeit um in den Austausch mit den Volunteers zu kommen und teilt gerne sein Wissen. Ich kann einen Aufenthalt sehr weiterempfehlen!

I spent an amazing two weeks at the beautiful Arcapacha. This was woofing experience, and it totally exceeded any expectations! Germa’s easy going nature set a super relaxed and playful vibe during the whole stay. The work varied every couple days, and the hours were very reasonable. The work was always super rewarding. If you haven’t tasted cacao fruit before, you’re in for a treat. Saw so much wildlife, played tons of games, listened to salsa, swam in the lovely river, and explored a nearby town. We cooked most meals together and everything was so delicious and nourishing. You’ll definitely learn a lot here, thank you Germa for sharing this beautiful space!!

This farm is beautiful, very dense jungle, located in a village of about 20 people. Wi-Fi very limited, not available in the kitchen or dorm areas. 90& 93,000 pesos for ride to and from Melgar. I experienced having no water for some days, having to ration it and the power was out for some days for the woofers before me. This is a very much glamping situation. Germa was good on safety reminders for being in the jungle, and my diet restrictions. I would recommend you bring shoe insoles for wearing the rubber boots, so your feet aren’t as sore. The water was clean, but still used my life straw for my daily drinking. After you work and have cooked and cleaned your meals and for others, you have some time to rest or have an activity during the hottest part of the day. Germa makes some meals, but you are expected to help. The food was great. At times, there were men on the property that I was not expecting and would have been nice to know, especially as a solo female traveler. There was yoni art over the hosts room door…Overall beautiful land property and different types of work to do. It is what you make it but there are some realities as well.

Ich hatte eine wirklich tolle Zeit auf der Arcapacha Farm! Für mich ein kleiner magischer Ort in Kolumbien den ich wirklich jedem ans Herz legen kann der einen Freiwilligendienst machen möchte. Neben der Arbeit von etwa 4-5 Stunden täglich (Mo. - Sa.) gibt es dort viel zu erleben oder kreatives zu tun alleine oder gemeinsam mit Anderen auf der Farm. Germa is ein wirklich angenehmer und humorvoller Host mit vielen Ideen und einer großen Gastfreundschaft.
Volle Empfehlung an alle Interessenten. PS: mittlerweile gibt es einen Schäler für Obst und Gemüse ;)

La mia esperienza ad Arcapacha è stata magica. Germa è una persona ricca, interessante, creativa e infinitamente appassionato al suo progetto di vita. Progetto che ama condividere con chi ne vuole cogliere la bellezza e che nutre la voglia di contribuirne come può, anche se solo per qualche settimana.
Il cacao, il nutrimento sano, l’arte, la spiritualità e la natura sono i principali componenti della giornata tipo che passerete in arcapacha.

I really enjoyed my stay at the farm. Its a beautiful and magical place and Germa is really sweet and always made sure I was okay. The food was super delicous - fresh fruits and vegetables and many diferent drinks with cacao juice! The nature and landscape around is just stunning and I was so happy to be able to learn everything about cacao. And Germa is really happy to share his knowledge with you :)
