I had a really great first WWOOFing experience at meh als gmües. I was welcomed by a community of very cool and kind people, who took the time to teach us the ways of the solawi and also to do fun things together! The work was really rewarding, and I have never had so much delicious and fresh food. It was really nice to eat lunch together everyday and also to cook for the team once a week . The evenings and the weekends are usually pretty quiet, so you have a lot of time for yourself. The location was on the edge of the city and therefore really the best of both worlds, and there were even bikes that we could borrow! I would definitely encourage everyone to go WWOOF here!

It was such a wonderful experience staying here. The host is super friendly & really supportive, and there’s always a warm team around, full of energy and kindness. The place has a strong community feeling, with volunteers from different backgrounds who are very welcoming and experienced. Accommodation is simple but cozy, and the location is convenient – just a short walk to shops, trains, and buses. Zurich can be reached in only 15–30 minutes, so it’s easy to explore. Many people communicate in English, but it’s also a perfect chance to practice the local language. They even provide bikes to get around. The meals were healthy and delicious every day. Overall, it was a truly memorable Wwoofing stay – very grateful!

We had a great experience at this farm (Vegetables and more...), especially enjoying the ecological food production, the non-hierarchical way of organizing tasks, and the delicious organic meals. It was refreshing to be part of a community that values sustainability and collaboration. However, we felt that there could be more social activities with the host and other members and Woofers to help build a stronger sense of community. We appreciated our interactions with the host, but we think more frequent and meaningful interactions would enhance the experience. One thing to note for future Woofers is the German language is an asset for more interactions. Overall, it was a rewarding experience, and we hope to visit this amazing farm again in the future!
