We are a family with two small children aged 4 and 6. Our organic farm is spread over an area of about 5 acres outside the village. We are surrounded by meadows, forests and hills. We grow various vegetables, fruits and herbs. We raise goats from which we produce milk and cheese. We have chickens, dogs, cats and a donkey. Everything is produced using biological methods and permaculture.
The activities in which volunteers could be involved are extremely diverse. Help with making beds, planting, weeding, harvesting. Assistance in feeding pets. Picking wild herbs, mushrooms and plants. Construction with natural materials of houses for the animals, feeders and greenhouses. We would be happy to prepare our food together and exchange different knowledge in the field. We would like to pass on our knowledge of building, permaculture, knowledge of wild plants for food. As we would like to exchange any experiences in the ecological lifestyle.
Depending on the season and the weather, the days on our farm are different. When it's hot, we work earlier in the morning and cooler in the evening. When it's cool, we work at noon. Except for feeding the animals, which is daily, everything else is planned at the moment according to pressing needs. We expect our guests to love nature, this would facilitate our work and understanding.
The location of our farm is wild and beyond civilization. At the same time, we are close to places for cultural and other tourism. There are medieval monasteries and churches nearby. For those who love swimming, there are mineral pools and baths. There are high mountains with beautiful lakes and rivers. It allows for many and varied activities depending on interests and people.
