Nestled on 9 ha of cloud‑forest in Veracruz, our family‑run permaculture dairy farm is both a working showroom and a living laboratory. Our focus is dairy: fresh goat and cow milk transformed into cheese several times each week for our local market, with gardens supporting our work. **Agrogym Boot‑Camp: Dairy Edition** This isn’t a gentle retreat—it’s eight hours of daily hands‑on dairy work, strength‑building chores, and learning by doing. **Your Daily Drill (6 days/week, 7 AM–3 PM)** * **7:00 AM – 9:30 AM**: * Barn duty: clean goat feeders, feed kids, tidy milking area, cut & chop grass for fodder (gloves + rubber boots required). * **9:30 AM – 10:30 AM**: * Breakfast break (self‑catered): prepare your own meals from basics we supply—rice, beans, eggs, cheese, seasonal veggies & fruit. * **10:30 AM – 1:00 PM**: * Manure agrogym: shovel stall manure, spread as fertilizer on pastures and animal terraces. * **1:00 PM – 2:30 PM**: * Milking prep & kid feeding: clean milking area, assist with milking setup, feed and care for kids. * **2:30 PM – 3:00 PM**: * Wrap‑up: secure barns, tidy equipment, prepare for next day. **Living Conditions** * Yurt‑style dorm with raised bed platform—bring your own sleeping bag * Compost toilet, river bath (no soap/chemicals—our frogs thank you!) * Solar‑powered internet to check in **Commitment & Culture** * Minimum stay: 2 weeks (our sweet spot) * Self‑catered meals on your schedule using supplied basics * Bring grit, a sense of adventure, and readiness for rain, mud, insects—and transformation **Who Should Apply** If dawn‑to‑dusk dairy work—milking, feeding, cleaning, fertilizing—fires you up, join us. If you’d rather prune tomatoes than wrestle goat feeders, this isn’t your camp. Ready for the ultimate dairy agrogym? Apply now!

I cannot adequately express how incredible Jairo, his family, his team, and his farm are. It is hard to put into words how unique this experience was. Over two weeks, I was able to build a comprehensive picture of what all organic farming can and should be. This experience pushed me to work hard, think critically, let go, and appreciate the landscape around me. I learned and experienced things that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I think a person could spend lifetimes searching for what Jairo offers at Teyoapa. I cannot thank him and his family enough!

Thank you Ellis, your stay at Teyoapa was a blessing. You pushed forward projects that had been stuck for a long time. I can't thank you enough.

Was a great pleasure to spend the last two weeks of 2024 at teyoapa in Xico, Mexico through WWOOF! From waking up at 6 to chop grass and gather goat poops, to taking a cold plunge in the river, to discussing with Jairo on AI/ChatGPT after lunch. The view at the farm is always so beautiful and the nature always has the best stories planned and told, only for us to take it on and experience. Much gratitude to Jairo & family for this amazing experience, I enjoyed philosophical conversations with Harmony and Naria, farm and market adventures with Pan and Frida, and not to mention Naria and Ron's private detective gist to help me find my phone back in Xico! It was an amazing experience and I would highly recommend to every WWOOFer to take on the hard work

We really enjoyed our stay at Teyoapa! Our main job was to take care of the goats: feed them (cut grass, banana trunks, fruit), help milking them, clean afterwards, catching the babies when they escape... As a side project, we renovated the greenhouse and volunteers' hangout yurt. We worked most of our hours in the early morning, in the nice fresh air and beautiful light, and did a few hours in the early afternoon, when the goats return from grazing. We worked mainly with Narya and Pan, who were kind, patient and willing to teach. The accomodation (a large yurt) was amazing: clean, breezy, with a view on the valley (and cattle), and comfy beds. We bathed in the river every day, in a natural pool under the trees. Ingredients were provided for the meals, and it was nice to be part of the cooking rota and swap recipes. It helps to be a bit of a self-starter to make the most of this unique experience!

This experience was truly life-changing for me. It was really hard work, and it’s definitely not for the faint of heart. But the place and the people are just wonderful and I’m so grateful for everyone at the farm. I helped out a lot with the goats, which involved things like feeding the baby goats and cutting grass with the machete for the goats and sheep to eat. It’s very hot, the work is very dirty, and cuts and blisters are something you’ll have to get used to. But it’s such a wonderful thing to be a part of and the land is magical. I couldn’t recommend this experience more for someone who understands the hard work that goes into farming. I learned a lot from my time here, not just about farming and land management but also about life and being human. I love everyone I met here and I hope I can come back.

This place is something very special and unique. We loved it so much and miss all the people involved in this beautiful project. Hard work, for sure! So don’t go here if you aren’t up for that! Physical work in the fields, where you will sweat and feel sore! You have to be prepared for the lifestyle. It’s not a luxury vacation (as you can read in the description). It’s alternative for what many people might come from. Its dirty and rustic. It’s authentic and it’s real nature. You get bug bites and dirty hands and you smell like goat most of the time (I miss that smell riding this review:’)) If you are up for being challenged, this is definitely for you! You need a good mindset and will power, and then it will differently pays off. Some days you will be tired and feel like giving up, but then you get pass that and realize how lucky you are to have the opportunity to be a part of this place for a while. We feel so grateful. The family are all truly amazing souls that we have learned a lot from. All hardworking, kind and wise people! so so inspiring. Thank you Roawen, Pan, Frida, Natasha and Narwia. Such a pleasure meeting all of you. Last but not least a million thanks to Harmony and Jai for your helpfulness and for giving us this opportunity. Thanks for the stories, the guidance and the support. We learned and grown so much in these two weeks. Also, if you have the opportunity- get af reading from Harmony. She is so amazing at what she do.

I had a great experience volunteering at Teyoapa. The work was challenging at times, as I was warned, but it was also very rewarding and a great opportunity to spend time in a very beautiful place. Harmony is a great cook and I really enjoyed working alongside her and the rest of the family. For me it provided an excellent respite from backpacking around Mexico. I’d highly recommend volunteering at Teyoapa to anyone who is enthusiastic about working with and learning about farming :)
