A park with more than 16 species of bamboo growing, distributed in 2 hectars integrated and inmers with the flora and fauna of this bio region. We are creating a place where people can experience, discover and learn with nature, creativity and ancestral wisdom, and inspired by bamboo, their habilities, gifts and their inner self. I have really enjoyed my time at Aurora! It is a very special place and Ana and Lu are great people and hosts. There were lots of things to do and bamboo is an incredible material. Thank you guys! Take care

I submitted a request to volunteer, but at first I just wanted to start a conversation in order to learn more about this farm to see if this farm and I are a fit to work together. I must say that I was disappointed by the response of the farm owner. She asked me what type of skills and experiences I can bring with me to the their farm, and after I stated my skills, she said that I am not a right fit without any elaboration. I asked her what type of specific skills they are seeking from volunteers and she did not respond. She also said that I don't have any reviews on my WWOOD profile which seemed to be a concern for her. I replied that I had volunteered elsewhere, but that I had just registered on WWOOF the day before and that's why I didn't have any reviews. I also mentioned to her that everyone has to start somewhere including her. I bet she didn't have any reviews on her profile when she registered for the first time on WWOOF. It's a shame because they lost the opportunity to work with a dedicated volunteer who will now instead lend his skills, experience and dedication to another farm.

My experience in Aurora was excellent, and a high point in my life. I found it incredibly easy to work and live along side Anna and Lucia. I learned a lot about growing food in their orchard and how to live a more self-sustaining lifestyle. I was provided as much food as I needed to be comfortable. I had my own cooking area and was offered to share meals with Anna and Lucia regularly. I was given more than a fair amount of time off and to myself, and I never felt over-worked. They've made plenty of room for their visitors to have privacy. They’ve built a contagiously creative environment and their vision for the property is endlessly expansive. I grew very proud to be a part of the team.
