Family farm, Community farm
Zambia
We are a couple who met here in Zambia in 2008 and fell in love with each other, the place, the people, and the culture. We live on a small farm with our Baby Boy Bodhi, our daughter Ayla, and our Zambian neighbors and friends. We feel very fortunate to be hosted by the community where we stay. We have formed meaningful and co-dependent relationships with our neighbors who we are now lucky to consider family. We speak local language and are trying our best to adapt to the lifestyle of our hosts and friends. We have WWOOFed ourselves extensively in Latin America and are happy to have a home and farm to share with WWOOFers. We live off-the-grid on the farm where we have planted many fruit trees and have an organic garden . As the farm has not reached full production, we do not produce enough food to be self-sufficient (although we have lots of fresh veggies). For this reason we ask visitors to offer any form of contribution towards food that they feel called to. We also run a social project in Kasama town which is 12 km away. Learn more about that project at http://www.bakashana.org or more about us and the farm at www.lovenlightlukupa.com

Dear Claire and family. Thank you for that heartwarming stay in your nature paradise. We just loved it and miss that magic place already. Our kids were so happy to swimming in the river, playing with your babies, learning about permaculture, feeding the chicken and harvesting sweetpotatoes. You are such a nice family, doing such a precious project for supporting local children.
Hope to meet you some day again.
Big hug and all the best
Céline and family 😘
