La Vigna is our piece of heaven on Earth. We escaped from a noisy Buenos Aires city 25 years ago, and started little by little to build our dream over an old building, where we created a small Farm Hotel and a Sheep, gotas and cows dairy farm and cheese factory… We went on with a small forest, vegetable gardens, animals in freedom, and lately bee hives. I am a psychologist and my husband an Eco Architect, and we have 3 teenage children . Little house on the prairie…Woofers are welcome to stay with us for one month approximately, and help with the farm, the cheeses, and with general duties of maintenance and feeding animals, milking, or cooking with us… Depending on everyone´s interests and time of the year, volunteers will be ask to help with the milking of the sheep and goats every morning, and during the afternoon sometimes help with the vegetable gardens, painting or helping fixing fences, gates…Our idea is to receive mainly couples, or up to a maximum of two volunteers at a time. Working 5 days a week during 6 hours per day. Woofers would be living in a small house next to La Vigna main house, by their own. It is a recycled shiping conteiner called Cactus Ranch, mainly built by volunteers! They will get the food that we produce in the farm every day, and they are expected to cook their meals (although they will be invited to join our family for meals during weekends if they wish to).We are really looking forward to receiving volunteers not only because we need they help, but mainly because we believe it is a wonderful exchange experience for everyone and it is exactly what needed in today´s world! Hopefully my kids will be joining woofing soon and also be able to travel volunteering as part of the real exchange adventure! Welcome to La Vigna Láctea!!!

I liked my stay at Cactus Ranch. It was my first time milking cows and goats and Hector was very helpful. The farm has different animals and I took care of all of them. Agustín gave me delicious cheese which he made. Other products like meat, eggs and milk were also from the farm and I especially liked the raw milk. The accomodation has also everything you could ask for and I loved the tranquillity.

I am glad you could enjoy your stay in La Vigna. Those were only a few days, but still enough for you to get the vibe here! Good luck !!!

Encore merci, Eli & Robin
Ps : On s’est régalés tous les jours en dégustant les produits frais de la ferme : lait de vaches du jour, fromages incroyables, viande, fruits et légumes, œufs…

It was our first wwoofing experience and La Vigna was just amazing! The eco farm, the hosts and all the people we met were so welcoming and beautiful. The work was really varied and we had the chance to learn many things. We will definitely come back again. We even had the chance to decide what kind of work we wanted to do and let our creativity flow.

My stay at La Vigna was my first experience WWOOFing and it was a good experience. The family and everybody working on the farm were very welcoming and it was always fun to work with everybody. The work was pretty diverse and I (a guy who lived in a big city his entire life) learned a lot of new things. In short thank you Lucila, Agustin, Hector and everybody else at La Vigna.

Firstly I would like to really thank Augustin and Lucila for 2 wonderful weeks.
It was a great experience from start to finish. The work itself was very enjoyable, I had a go at lots of different activities; painting, working on the vegetable garden, harvesting corn, looking after the goats and sheep... I did not only work but also learnt a great deal everyday.
I also got on very well with Hector (an employee on the farm) who was very welcoming, helpful and an all round great guy! I had my privacy but also had a lunch with the family, joined in some of the activities with clients on the farm and spent a fair amount of time with everyone. If i had a question or wanted anything extra everyone was very aproachable which was great.
The accomodation was fine although it did get quite damp at night however this didnt bother me. The food provided was nice, I had access to all the vegetables grown on the farm as well as fruit and eggs also.
The farm itself is beautiful and i very much recommend it. I had an amazing time however I would especially recommend it for 2 Wwoofers (in winter) as come 18h it was dark and I didnt have a huge amount to do in the evenings, in a couple or a group of 2 i think it would make it a little more enjoyable.
All in all it was a wonderful experience, I had a great time and would very much like to return here next time i'm in south america!!

La Vigna is really a little piece of paradise! Lucila & Agostin were welcoming and lovely. As Wwoofers we worked and lived quite independently and loved the way the self made cheeses, fruits from the trees and treasures of the vegetable garden were shared. Although the work was mainly maintenance due to the time of year, we also worked with the animals every day, harvested corn and even planted a little forest. We had a wonderful time at La Vigna, thank you very much for everything!
