I had such a wonderful time at Soulfire Farm! The family is super lovely and I felt right at home.
The food was delicious (thanks Lau) and the work was totally fair (mixing lots of soil and cement, looking after the plants and animals and much more).
I saw dolphins for the first time and in general the farm and the surroundings are very beautiful.
I already miss you and am looking forward to coming back in September :)
Lots of love,
Marlene

Its a real Family Farm!
it was a wonderful time on the Soulfirefarm, the whole Family is authentic and very friendly.
The work was diversified and i liked doing it, i had the feeling, they were grateful for the work i did.
The food was super good and nutritious, thanks lau!
But if you want to see Bocas del Toro and the Islands around, you should know, the soulfirefarm is very remote and its expensive to get to other places. A Taxiboat is 16$ one way, so not a daytrip experience.
But if you search for a nice place to stay, fair work, some quiet time and good conversations, go to the soulfirefarm.

We absolutely loved our stay with Lau, Emy, Mia and Luca. We stayed at their amazing farm for 4 weeks and learnt so much about living and working on a permaculture farm. The days varied from building a concrete path, helping with their plant sales and tidying the greenhouse. Every morning we helped Mia with the chickens and compost which was very fun. Lau makes the most amazing lunches and dinners! We recommend cooking some of your local cuisines, as long as it doesn’t contain too many veggies. Desserts go down very well with Luca haha! We very much felt part of the family during our stay and would 100% return one day! Thank you for an unforgettable stay. Jack & Ella :)
