We are an educationally oriented, simple gourmet agroforestry project. We currently focus our production on salad greens and herbs for guests & select Jakarta restaurants, and have a B & B/ guest house to accommodate jakarta cement refugees/paying guests, foodies, & students, young and old, people interested in reconnecting with more natural patterns of life, reinvigorating local cultures, and exploring combinations of Western and Indonesian spices. We're growing more fruits & vegetables for our guests & you to eat on the farm these days. Exchange housing will be in modified West Javanese rice barns. Ideally, wwoofers would have some experience in agriculture, construction, hospitality or culinary fields, but all hard working, willing enthusiasts of tropical forests are encouraged to contact us, free loaders, soory, but go to jalan jaksa saja, protecting the fair trade lovely balance of wwoofing is important to us.
Organic methods: Tropikal Komposting Agroforestry, peeing on the citrus & papaya trees, traditional compost teas & pesticides, chickens & children running about.
Current projects: Rainy season replanting of trees, saving the lettuces from torrential rains, turning an office into guest bedrooms, battling the forest & building it, and taking care of guests...

Jocean, Ayu and their team are amazing host, very very generous, trust in work. Food is fresh, salad producted so tasty, work is complet, weeding, cooking, cleaning, managing host for hiking, farm tour or whatever...and a very lovely Puppy.
We only had to leave this place because of the visa expiration.
We would love to come back and highly recommend this family paradise.

Volunteering at Lodges Ekologika on Portibi Farms was a valuable experience for me. Not only learning couple things on how to preparing the soil, plant seeds, looking after the plants, they taught me the fundamental values and guidance to be a real organic farmer.
I had fun, and make new friends here. Thanks for the opportunity, guys! :)

Im my 1 week experience of this woof establishment(unfortunately i had to leave early as my father was ill) i found them to be exploitative and unsympathetic, they appear to be most concerned with making an income from the use of free wwoof labour and less about the training and support of a local work force. This wwoof establishment is VERY isolated so you won't experience much/anything of Indonesia by staying here.Their main business is through paying guests whom they house in lodges and cater for at breakfast, lunch, dinner( you will probably help in the kitchen, wash-up and clean rooms and their secondary income is through to sale of salad produce you will pick.
