La ferme est entourée d'une belle nature sauvage en Suisse romande (nous parlons aussi allemand et anglais). Nous avons environ 400 moutons, quelques vaches, chèvres et ânes. En mars et avril, tous les agneaux vont naître - une période merveilleuse et intensive. De mai à octobre, la plupart des moutons sont dans un alpage avec quelqu'un qui s'occupe d'eux. De novembre à début mars, la plupart des moutons font la "Winterwanderung" (ou "la transhumance"), c'est-à-dire qu'ils sont toujours dehors, marchant dans la vallée et deux bergers les accompagnent. À la ferme, nous faisons du foin, nous possédons un jardin avec quelques légumes, nous tannons des peaux de mouton de manière naturelle, nous fabriquons des clôtures, nous préparons le bois de chauffage en forêt ou aidons à la rénovation des bâtiments...
Nous aimerions donner une place ici à plusieurs wwoofers en même temps, afin qu'ils aient la possibilité de se rencontrer et de travailler ensemble.
The farm is surrounded of a beautiful wild nature in the french speaking part of Switzerland (we speek also german and english). We have around 400 sheep, some cows, goats and donkeys. In March and April all the lambs will come to be born - a quiet intensive time. From May to October most of the sheep are on an alp with somebody, who is looking after them. From November till the beginning of March, most of the sheep are on the "Winterwanderung" (or "la transhumance"), that means they are always outside, walking trough the valley and two shepherds are with them. On the farm we are making hay, we have a garden with some vegetabels, we are tanning sheepskins in a natural way, we are making fences, we are preparing the firewood in the forest, or help with the renovations of the buildings...
We would like to give several wwoofers a place here at the same time, so that they have the possibility to meet and work together.

Laufende Projekte: Die Tiere (v.a. Schafe und Kühe) versorgen, Holz sägen/spalten/auffüllen, Gebäude einheizen, (Fix-) Zäune wieder in Stand setzten, arbeiten in der hofeigenen Gerberei, evtl. Renovation von Gebäuden.

Claudia and her familiy are very warm and welcoming! Although I don´t speak french very well and I was the only Woofer at the time, they did their best to include me into their daily life and work. What impressed me a lot is the passion and the energy that Claudia shows everyday! She is such a generous and down to earth person! Not only did I learn new things, but I learned what living in harmony with nature looks like!!

We had an amazing time at Claudia's farm. It was our first WWOOFing experience and I have no farming experience. We could do a range of tasks such as helping feed the sheep and lambs, improve the community house, do simple but relaxing and necessary tasks that needed doing. We met lovely, interesting people. It is in a beautiful setting and very different to our normal life. Our 7 year old absolutely loved it and we will always remember this experience with a huge smile on our faces! Thank you Claudia for this wonderful opportunity.

Meine Zeit in Froidevaux war wunderbar! Morgens und abends durfte ich im Stall die Schafe und Lämmer versorgen und untertags erkundete ich die idyllischge Umgebung. An einem Tag war ich mit Gianna unterwegs, welche mit 200 Schafen die kalte Jahreszeit über auf Winterwanderung war.
Wohnen konnte ich in einem Haus in welchem noch andere Woofer*innen untergebracht waren und welches sehr gemütlich eingerichtet war. Zu Essen wurde immer selbst gekocht aber dafür gab es die besten Lebensmittel überhaubt...(demeter, bio und Fleischprodukte vom Hof). Wer auf der Suche nach einer klar vorgegebenen Struktur ist mag hier wohl an der falschen Adresse sein, denn diese ist kaum vorhanden. Dennoch ein schöner Ort mit tollen Menschen an dem über Schafe und vieles mehr gelernt werden kann.

J'ai passé 10 jours dans la ferme au mois de février avec un ami. Je recommande fortement cette expérience, tout le monde est très accueillants et bienveillants et a l'envie de nous apprendre et transmettre leurs connaissances. Nous avons participé a tout types d'activités avec des horaires qui nous laissaient du temps libre pour visiter les environs qui valent le coup ! En bref, un super endroit avec des personnes dont on aurait pas pu espérer mieux et une belle philosophie dans leur travail :)

Many thanks to Claudia and Jana for a very insightful experience. I learned a lot and had a lovely time hanging out with the house lamb. The accommodation is 300 years old and heated via a wood stove. It feels like quite an adventure. Would highly recommend.
