Volunteering at the farm was the best volunteering experience I’ve ever had. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and are always willing to help you with your tasks. You are very well taken care of, from accommodation to food. I went hiking in the mountains and swimming in the lake. They are very well organised. I would 100% recommend this place for your volunteering experience!

I had the best experience I could've hoped for. It was my first WWOOF experience and after this I wish to never stop WWOOFing. I worked on weeding the flowerbeds, harvesting vegetables, trimming hedges etc. All tasks were very well explained and achievable. André and everybody else at Yamagishi-Hof were amazing hosts. They were kind, patient and very supportive. The room was great, the food was amazing, we ate every meal together. We frequently talked and also went to the nearby lake a couple of times to swim. Cannot recommend this opportunity enough, there is plenty to learn

We had the best time at Yamigishi! Andre and Agnes welcomed us so generously and we loved getting to know everyone. They gave us many recommendations for local things to do and the food was amazing. I am so glad we got learn more about their farm, we helped with a good variety of tasks and they were very good about giving us time for rest between tasks.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at this farm for 3 weeks in May and enjoyed it here a lot. You will meet around 11 people that have been living and working together for over 5 years. It is helpful to be informed about the concept behind a Yamagishi Farm (originated in Japan). For us, it was an insightful experience to see how strangers with the same values can come together and build up the community they wish for. As for the schedule, we usually worked 8-10:30 AM and 2- 5:30 PM. You get 2 days off on Saturday and Sunday. You can learn a lot if you keep your mind and heart open! We were open to experience as much as we can. Our tasks varied, e.g. helping with the braided bread, feeding the chickens + collecting eggs, the usual weeding, gardening, bottling honey into jars, cooking a meal from our home countries, building a raised bed.. As another WWOOFer said, I think they are good at finding suitable tasks for you. We are grateful for the wonderful memories. Danke für die schöne Zeit!

I truly appreciated so many things at the farm.🥰Spending each day with everyone there and being able to help with different tasks was a special experience for me 🩵 something out of my normal life, and I learned so much along the way☺️🌿 I really enjoyed taking care of the animals and helping out around the farm. It was both fun and meaningful. Andre supported me in many ways, and I’m very grateful for that☺️💕💕 And of course, the beautiful scenery was always there, making every day peaceful and refreshing⛰️🐤✨ I highly recommend this place! 🤗
