What is WWOOFÂź?

Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF) links visitors with organic farmers, promotes an educational and cultural exchange and builds a global community conscious of ecological farming practices.

WWOOF was founded in 1971 and is one of the world’s first educational and cultural exchange programs. Today, WWOOF is in more than 132 countries around the world (and growing).

WWOOF Independents

WWOOF Independents is a network that makes WWOOFing possible in countries without a locally-based organization. Please check the list of countries included.

Visitors, or 'WWOOFers', share in daily life with their host and learn about organic agriculture, while spending about half of each day helping out on a farm.

Entre Rios was a great experience. I spent a few days there getting to know Eduardo's family and got to help out with numerous tasks around the farm. Beautiful place, great food, and clean living area.

My time with Corrine and her family was one of the most amazing periods I had throughout all my many months in Switzerland. And I feel lucky and blessed for going there đŸ©” It was a beautiful and magical time, full of happy moments. I was treated by them with so much generosity, kindness, love, flexibility and the list can go on and on. They made me feel like a part of the family. I slept in one of the beautiful apartments that they have in place, and it was a big pleasure to have it all for myself. The atmosphere there was so nice for me. I was working in a very diverse range of things. From seeding the first field in my life (my OrzođŸ€Ž), to maintaining the balance in the strawberry field. From plucking thorn weeds from the forest, to helping with the new building projects around the house. From all of them I could learn, experience and find enjoyment. I also spent a lot of my free time with the family, making a beautiful friendship đŸ©” We cooked, we played cards, we watched series, we played music, and just lived together with love. And the food of Corrine is a gift to the soul 💜 They also have cute dogs and cats that entered my heart ❀ I will always remember my beautiful time there. They are truly a family of Chamudim and Chamudot 💜â˜ș Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❀ Or đŸŒ»

We are so incredibly grateful for our experience at Bote Farm with Kyle and Shawn. A true blessing and privilege to have worked and grown alongside this beautiful place. We were provided with amazing opportunities to venture the area, sleep peacefully and enjoy exploring the use of fresh produce. We always had more than enough of everything we could’ve needed, for which we are so thankful It was so much fun having something new to do everyday, whether with animals, building, or gardening we were constantly learning new methods and skills. We left feeling so rewarded and relaxed and once again for that we are so grateful. Thank you for having us Bote Farm!!! We appreciate everything!

I spent a really great time in Géa Viva. Sabine is sometimes direct but very kind and thoughtful. The land is very quiet and perfect to take time for yourself. It's also very interesting to understand the importance of natural ressources like water or electricity. ++++ I was able to go swimming in november which is crazy !

I stayed for two weeks at Mariae’s with her sister and father and it didn’t take me long to feel like being at home in their cosy homestead, located in the heart of Poland, surrounded by blazing nature and bustling wild life. During my time there, I mainly helped at preparing the garden for winter, gathering tons of new knowledge about non-dig gardening in the process, and also gave a hand with animals in the stable and the henhouse when it was needed. While at it, I shared a lot of deep and interesting conversations with Mariae and her family, as well as numerous cooking sessions and memorable french and polish meals. From beginning to end, it had been a simple, authentic and always very lively experience. Altogether, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I can't recommend you enough but to come to the farm and see it for yourself. Thanks again to everyone for welcoming me and making me feel like being part of the family during these couple of weeks. I wish you all the best in your future plans that, I’m convinced, will find success !

My time with Michalis and Lena at Nomad’s Farm was fantastic. They were both very welcoming, and made an effort to make me feel at home. The work was rewarding, with an opportunity to help out in various different ways at the farm, from tending to the vegetable plot, tidying the farm, helping move chicken feed, and even collecting eggs. The expectations of work were very fair and left me with a lot of free time as well to explore Cyprus. The accommodation was comfortable, quite simple but has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Michalis and Lena were also checking regularly to make sure I was happy with everything or if I needed anything. My one recommendation, if you volunteer at Nomad’s, would be to hire a car so you are able to see more of Cyprus. Michalis and Lena have plenty of excellent recommendations for places to visit, eat, or relax. A note for folks who maybe are not so comfortable with dogs, Morty is one of the most well behaved dogs I have ever met and whilst he is very excitable and friendly, he is well trained and you can get him to leave you alone if you prefer. I would very happily stay with Michalis and Lena again!

I spent 2 weeks at Gea Viva and it is such a beautiful place. Sabine is an incredibly kind-hearted person and she really wants to make sure that you have a good time and get to explore the island. She brought me to a beautiful mountain top and recommended other nice hikes and beaches to visit. Sabine is an incredible cook and I really enjoyed the meals that she prepared for lunch. The work was quite varied and I did tasks such as planting seeds in the garden, collecting olive prunings, cutting back climbers, and building a solar oven! As long as you show up with focus and intention you will learn a lot!
