My time here was nothing less than excellent. From Glen’s knowledge and teaching, to the student’s care for the work; I highly recommend coming and getting to know this farm. One of the most satisfying and gratifying experiences I have had in a long time. Thank you Glen, Evelin, and all of the students for having me! I’ll be back

This is a great project in a great place with great people. I had a really good time the couple weeks I spent here, and so did all the other volunteers I was with (about 5-10 at a time as people came and went). Jay runs this place with so much passion and love and it really shines through. Come and spend some time in nature and give back by helping the rainforest grow. You won't regret it. Accommodation is basic but functional, quite cosy once you're under the mosquito net (I slept in the mudhouse – if you're lucky you might get a firefly display there while you fall asleep). Work can be taxing but always manageable and rewarding and will bond you as a group. Tasks are seasonal, ours was mostly weeding and watering. You work a couple hours morning and evening and the rest of the time is your own. You can socialize, read, play games, teach or take a class with other volunteers, do yoga, take a nap or just chill. In the evenings we had movie nights as well. Food is excellent, 3x meals a day, all good local fare cooked by the wonderful Akka. Unlimited clean local springwater to drink. On off days we had some amazing excursions (ask Jay about the waterfall...) Friendly dogs too (also leeches). Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful two week visit with Jane! The farm work was great fun, but the real experience was becoming a part of her family and getting to experience rural Filipino living. Outside of the waterfalls in Bulacan, Jane also took us around to Quirino to visit a partner farm and Pampanga to visit the Aeta tribe. She goes above and beyond to show you the heart of the Philippines leaning on her deep relationships she has built over the years. I highly recommend Jane as a host, you never know what you may discover and experience with her.

We are so lucky to have met Mary Jane! Her endless generosity, knowledge and passion for sharing culture amazed us. Spending nearly two weeks with her, we got to learn about native vegetables and farming practices, eat delicious local food, speak to local people and see beautiful mountain and waterfalls. Mary Jane will help you fulfil any wishes you have while travelling with her and in the Philippines. She is a real life saint! Thank you so much for having us MJ, we will see you again.

I was lucky enough to spend 3 incredible weeks at SoulFire Farm. I have nothing but great things to say. As my first WOOFFing experience I wasn’t sure what to expect. I really wanted to find a farm that made me feel at home and welcomed while also having a mutual expectation that I was there to help and earn my delicious meals (thanks Lau) in a fair and agreed upon way. I’m happy to say that this family and their farm were exactly that and so much more. The work was more than fair, the food was delicious and healthy, the family is incredible and welcoming, the dogs and cats are adorable (especially cooper), the farm is beautiful and extremely impressive, and the accommodation is beautiful and comfortable. I’m so sad to leave but I’m so grateful to have incredible memories of lovely conversations, learning new skills and trying new activities, quite mornings walking the dogs and fun nights playing cards. If you’re looking for a farm where not just your work, but also your company is genuinely appreciated, and where you can feel like you’re actually contributing to something, then soul fire farm is the place to go. The respect and appreciation goes both ways and before you know it you find yourself feeling like you’re part of the family and like you’re at a home away from home. Thank you Emi, Lau, Luca and Mia for having me at your home and making me feel so welcome. It was a truly unforgettable experience and I hope to visit again as soon as possible :). If you ever come ...

This farm stay has been a life-changing journey for me. I’ve truly felt the kindness, warmth, hospitality and pure-heartedness of the Filipino people here, and experienced the most beautiful and sincere emotions that make us human. What struck me most is seeing how ordinary Filipino people embrace life so fully even with modest material means — it never stops them from singing, dancing, and celebrating every moment. Their optimistic, positive spirit and deep love for life fill me with immense admiration. A special thank you goes to my host Mary Jane, who has taken care of me in every single detail and treated me with the most genuine care and affection. We connected heart to heart, sharing the most sincere conversations from the bottom of our hearts. And a big thank you to her mother too, such an elegant and generous woman. Together, they treated me like a beloved member of their family, and I have never felt such genuine and heartfelt warmth in my life. I also want to mention their lovely shy daughter, who might just still be getting to know me. I’d also like to thank Mary Jane’s brother – though he’s a man of few words, I could truly feel the warmth and enthusiasm in his heart, and we bonded like real brothers. My gratitude also goes to all the uncles and aunties on the farm, as well as her cousin and his wife — they were all incredibly sincere to me, truly the kindest people in the world. And of course, there’s their eldest son, the cousin’s little boy, such a sweet and...

Bakali's garden is a wonderful place full of kind people, positive energy, sun, music and african rythms. We laughed a lot and learned about their culture, for example how to make tea or tajine, how they build houses with limited resources and even some basic phrases in arabic. There were lots of baby animals that we took care of which was an unforgetable experience. Abdul even organized a two day trip to Sahara for us which was an amazing adventure and lifetime memory! If there had been more volunteers, it would have been a bit cheaper because he needs to rent a 4x4, but it was still really worth the price. Thank you!! We wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone looking to volunteer in Morocco!

Spending my days on this farm was an incredible experience. Anne, Temu, Saku, the kids — everyone is extremely kind, friendly, and welcoming. During my stay, I sorted large amounts of oats, used the grain cleaning machine, did some forest work, and used the log splitter to cut firewood. I also cleaned the chicken coop and brought firewood to the house as a daily task. In addition, I helped with snow work when needed. The daily schedule was very well organized, but I could choose to start working earlier or later, which I really appreciated. I enjoyed talking with the family during daily breaks and going skiing on the weekends. I also appreciated having time alone in the house, but I always felt very comfortable and happy when Anne and Temu were there as well. This balance between independence and shared time made the experience even better. I would highly recommend this experience to people who are not afraid of working independently, enjoy physical work, and also appreciate spending meaningful time with the people who live and work on the farm.

This was my first WWOOF experience, and it was incredible. The hosts are very friendly and kind, and they truly treat you as part of the family. My daily tasks included feeding rabbits, chickens, and other birds, as well as general cleaning and maintenance. There wasn’t a fixed working schedule: some days the work was longer, while other days it was shorter, but I believe this flexibility was part of the experience and helped me adapt to real farm life. I also wrapped and ground talkuna, did some snow work, and helped warm up the sauna. The work was varied and interesting, and I learned many practical skills. What I appreciated the most was spending Christmas and New Year’s with the family, which made me feel truly welcomed and part of their daily life. I also had the opportunity to travel to Sweden and Norway with Mikko and two other WWOOFers, making the holiday period even more special. Additionally, I spent two days at a Christmas market in Joensuu, helping sell traditional products produced by the farm. This was a unique experience that allowed me to see another side of farm life and interact with local people. I would definitely recommend this experience to everyone that are very open-minded and flexible.

Mahendra is truly a legend, a man to admire, and an example for me to follow. He is the kindest host, and the best authentic Indian chef! It is very special of him to welcome volunteers on the farm, share his deep knowledge and beautiful stories about nature, history, life and beyond! Mewar Exotic is a piece of paradise on Earth, and let’s not forget about the cutest 4-legged farmer Auggie who is the sweetest dog in Rajasthan! Thank you for everything Mahendra! - Enea

It was a real pleasure getting to know Mathieu through this woofing experience. He took the time well before my arrival to prepare me, discuss my expectations, and share about his life in Morocco, which made the whole stay feel thoughtful and well-organized. The valley itself is truly a gem — a lush, green source of water nestled in the heart of the Atlas Mountains. You can’t get much more authentic than this. The place is beautiful and peaceful, though I personally found it quite cold during the winter, so I would recommend visiting in spring or summer to fully enjoy the experience. Overall, a lovely stay with a kind and attentive host in a stunning setting.
