Wir sind ein sehr vielseitiger Bio-Bauernhof in der Nähe von St. Gallen. Uns liegt der Umgang mit Tieren und Pflanzen sehr am Herzen, weswegen wir seit dem Jahr 2022 ein Lebenshof sind. Bei uns leben Kängurus, Straussen, Schweine, Kühe, Enten, Hühner und Katzen. Selbstversorgung ist bei uns ein wichtiges Element im Leben. Wir haben neben den Tieren auf 2ha einen Acker und einen Permakulturgarten, die uns jedes Jahr mit leckeren Nahrungsmitteln versorgen. Ja und dann ist da noch der Herbst wo sich alles ums Obst dreht. Mit unseren 300 Hochstammbäume können wir jeder Zeit Unterstützung gebrauchen. Wir haben gerne Menschen bei uns auf dem Hof und veranstalten immer wieder diverse Events.
Nebst den ganzen Arbeiten, die sich um den Hof drehen, ist uns das Zusammenleben besonders wichtig. Wir sind ein Kernteam von mehreren Leuten, die auch alle zusammen auf dem Hof leben. Wir veranstalten immer wieder Spieleabende, gehen zusammen an den Fluss, machen Feuer im Garten, spielen Musik und reden gerne.

Dear WWOOFers,
We are a very diverse organic farm near St. Gallen. We care deeply about animals and plants, which is why we have been a sanctuary farm since 2022. We're living with kangaroos, ostriches, pigs, cows, ducks, chickens, and cats. Self-sufficiency is an important element in our lives. In addition to the animals, we have a 2-hectare field of agriculture and a permaculture garden that provides us with delicious food every year. And then there's autumn, when everything`s about fruits. With our 300 high stem fruit trees, we can always use your support. We enjoy having people on the farm and regularly host various events.
To all the work that revolves around the farm, community is particularly important to us. We are a core team of four people who all live together. We regularly host game nights, go to the river, build fires in the garden, play music, and enjoy chatting.

I had a fantastic time at Känguruhof. I stayed for two weeks as my first wwoofing experience and could not have been more happy with my experience. Stefan and Tamara are the kindest people and did everything they could to make me feel welcome in their home. I got to know the animals well through feeding and tending to them, help gather apples and make apple juice, and work in the farm shop preparing goods for the shelves. The farm is really accessible with public transportation. I highly recommend visiting, they need lots of help!
