I procrastinated writing this review as my way of holding on to this experience and refusing to close this chapter. The love and growth here is unique, invaluable and unattainable elsewhere. One of my favourite memories happened in my first week here, where the team learnt that I loved strawberries and laughed at me for buying a box of strawberries from the supermarket - when it was already strawberry harvesting season the very next week. That sunday, one of the community members picked the very first ripe strawberry of the season and passed it to Madeleine. Madeleine cut that one strawberry in half and shared it with me. That was my very first, fresh strawberry, ahead of the plenty I was going to snack on in the coming weeks. Through the split strawberry there was a sense of neighbourliness and community. I immediately knew I was being cared for, even on this faraway land 10,000 kilometers away from home. I cannot thank this place enough for allowing me to be a part of their story. I once asked Gosia why she works here, and part of her response was 'I don't care if you have no arm or no leg, I'm happy you're here'. Through the various language divides you get reminded that love, laughter and kindness transcend language barriers. They accept you as you are. You get reminded that life does not have to be that complicated. Apologies for turning this review into a love letter. I cannot wait to for when I'll be back at this farm. In the meantime, I wish them the very best!

Hazel arrived and immediately became part of the team. She was very open and warm! Hazel took on every task with enthusiasm and carried them out very reliably. After just a few days, I was able to give her full responsibility for the goslings, and she cared for the animals lovingly and responsibly. In addition to her hard work and truly helpful support, she’s a very special person. She joined us in all our activities, and we had a lot of fun with her in our free time, too. We would welcome Hazel back to the farm anytime.

Such an amazing stay with Madeleine and the whole team ! I absolutely did not see the 5 weeks go by. I already miss the farm, the food, the people, the geese, the chicken, ... (but not the sheep ;) ). Thank you for everything and I hope to see you again.

Benjamin was a very friendly and funny young man. He pitched in wherever he could and helped keep the team in good spirits—and on top of that, he’s hardworking, strong, and climbs fruit trees with ease! ;) We’d love to have you back sometime. Our gooselady misses him especially...

My advice to WWOOF members is that no matter which farm you go to (and I mean all farms), plan your trip so it doesn't take more than two weeks.

A brilliant time in BungertHof!!! This farm could be a perfect choice to stay with no regrets. 🧑‍🌾This farm is organized by staffs who are generous and hospitable. They gave me a lot of food and tips about buying train tickets. They are also flexible with working arrangements. When I was asked to hard work, they checked your status. When I was suffering from fever, they offered me a sick leave and herbs. They even provided me with a extra holiday to explore regions nearby. In a nutshell, working with the staff could lead you a great experience. 🌍The place nearby is quite nice! Remote as the site you see on the map, public transportation in Switzerland works perfectly! You can reach Zurich in 80 minutes. Or you can visit the nearest spot, Rhinefall. All in all, it’s a rural town with tranquility and access to the cities. 🛏️About the accommodation, wow, I could say it’s the most special experience I’ve ever had. I lived in Chileweg 4, the 16th century house where it’s 2 minutes away from the main one. The house strikes me as a vintage mansion. But don’t worry about the cleanliness. I got a good feeling about it. 🌟Overall, five stars all the way! I highly recommend you to contribute your strength and time in BungertHof. And I think you will have the same thoughts after WWOOFing here——Wanna go again!

This was Lennon’s second visit to our farm, and this time he stayed a little longer. It was like having a good friend come back. Lennon is extremely conscientious and reliable; he does all his work very thoroughly and has never complained about any of it. He’s very curious and asks questions so he can understand why things are done a certain way. Lennon has always shown great respect toward everyone and has taken good care of new WWOOFers. Lennon is a very interesting man, and we really enjoyed our conversations and laughter with him.

Thank you thank you thank you! Such a wonderful place with wonderful people who are so welcoming to their community. With so many different options of tasks along with delicious farm to table meals and comfortable accommodations, this was a dream Wwoof. I cant emphasis enough how much hosts truly can make a wwoof experience and you all are top tier with such a wonderful program. My intent with the wwoofs I explore is to learn as much as I can on how to "live off the land" and this place gives you all of that and more. From the opportunity to work in the chicken "coop/barn" to helping with the many different pastures and sheeps to the multiple gardnes (herb and veggies) and the many fruit trees, there was never a dull moment. I even loved that we had the option and opportunity to help in the industrial kitchen where Bungerthof makes their own tea blends (all from the herbs in the garden), breads, and other delicious desserts and syrups. Such a pleasure to have had the opportunity to spend a couple of months here and hope to make it back again one day. Love yall IMMENSELY!

I spent 3 weeks with Madeleine and the Bungerthorf team and it was definitely something I will hold very close to my heart. Firstly, the farm was big and beautiful, with all sorts of animals ranging from poultry to sheep, to cats - the work entailed us feeding the sheep, poultry alongside a lot of gardening and wood work. Secondly, the people were amazingly kind and fun - the conversations we had over lunch never failed to make me leave the table with my heart and stomach full! Above all, it's a place where social worker, civil workers, animals and nature come together to create an environment that is loving and productive I will definitely be back soon!
